Regular Season Round 9: Krka - Borac CA 81-77

There was a small surprise in Novo Mesto where ninth ranked SlovenianKrka (2-6) defeated 6th ranked Serbian Borac (2-6) 81-77 on Saturday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Krka made 26-of-29 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game. Krka outrebounded Borac 37-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. American center Sukhmail Mathon (208-1998, college: Boston U.) stepped up and scored 9 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Slovakian point guard Mario Ihring (193-1998) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Krka's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Aleksa Uskokovic (189-1999) with 19 points and 6 assists and Nikola Manojlovic (201-2002, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Borac players scored in double figures. Krka keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Borac .
